David Hill Trio Biography
“From the local church, for the local
church”, is a statement that describes The David Hill Trio. During
a time when some consider it to be “out of style” and “offensive”
to share the message of the cross, the blood and repentance,
emerges a group that does just that. Unashamedly, The David Hill
Trio stands on platforms wherever they are invited and sing songs
that point to the Lord Jesus Christ. This passion for ministry
comes from each member’s relationship with their Savior and out of
their relationship with their local church, the Miles Road Baptist
Church in Summerville, South Carolina.
Singing lead/tenor for the trio is David Hill. Certainly no
stranger to gospel music, this former pastor has sung with groups
like The Gold City Quartet, The Nelons, and The Perrys. David
brings experienced leadership to the trio along with the ability
to take audiences from tears to laughter. Amanda Hill, David’s
wife, sings the soprano for the trio. This talented young lady has
filled in with The Perrys and The Nelons. Her crystal clear
soprano voice and her ability to communicate a song make her a
favorite among gospel music lovers. Singing the alto for the group
is Stephanie Lindsey. This “preacher’s kid” attended Liberty
University and sang with their traveling choral group. Her
powerful voice and infectious personality make her a great fit for
The David Hill Trio.
“What you see, hear, and experience from them on the platform is
exactly what they are off the stage. Having been associated with
pastors, evangelists, and singers for nineteen years, I sadly say
there is hypocrisy in the ranks, but I can gladly say you will not
find it in David, Amanda, or Stephanie”, shares Dr. Jim Palmer,
the trio’s pastor. Strong vocals, tight harmonies, and songs with
substance are things that the David Hill Trio possess. Take those
qualities and combine them with compassion, conviction, a love to
worship, and a passion to minister and then you will understand
why it has been said that the David Hill Trio is “from the local
church, for the local church”. |
